Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. When you purchase a plan we also collect billing information through our payment processor (Stripe). Stripe handles all payment card data — we never see or store your full card number.

When you configure a scan we store the keywords, target cities, and target domain you provide. Scan results — including rank positions, page snippets, and screen-recording videos — are stored so you can access them from your dashboard.

We automatically collect basic usage data such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This information is used to operate, maintain, and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the RankCheck.live service
  • To process payments and send transactional emails (scan results, receipts, account notices)
  • To respond to support requests
  • To send important product updates (you can opt out of non-essential communications)
  • To detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the product:

  • Payment processors — to securely process transactions
  • Email delivery providers — to send transactional emails such as scan results, receipts, and account notices
  • Cloud infrastructure and storage providers — to host the service, store files, and deliver content
  • Browser and proxy infrastructure providers — to perform Google searches from your target geographic location (no personal data is transmitted to the search engine)
  • Authentication providers — if you choose to sign in with a third-party account (e.g., Google)
  • Analytics and error monitoring tools — to understand how the service is used and to identify and fix bugs

4. Data Retention

Scan result data (rankings, snippets) and video recordings are kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our infrastructure. No system is 100 % secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please contact us.

6. Your Rights

You may request a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication (session cookies). We also use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to collect anonymous usage data such as page views and traffic sources. This helps us understand how the service is used and improve it. Google Analytics may set its own cookies — you can opt out using Google's opt-out tool. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
